Prethodnih jedanaest skupova “Automatizacija u prometu ’94, ’95, ’96, ’97, ’98, ’99, ’00, ’01, ‘02, '03 i '04” potakli su brojna pitanja o načinu daljnjeg uvođenja automatizacije u prometne procese te o odnosu između automatizacije i životnog okoliša, odnosno primjerenosti automatizacije mogućnostima i ograničenjima čovjeka – korisnika te automatizacije.

Želja nam je da i ovogodišnji skup prikaže domete i stremljenja na području automatizacije u cestovnom, željezničkom, pomorskom, riječnom, zračnom te poštanskom prometu, s posebnim naglaskom na utjecaj koji sredstva automatizacije imaju na čovjekov okoliš.

Kako bismo objektivnije vrednovali sva saznanja i dostignuti razvoj u primjeni automatizacije u prometu, namjera nam je da i ovogodišnji skup ima obilježje međunarodnog skupa s temama o primjeni automatizacije u prometu u našem bližem i daljnjem okruženju.

Aim of the Conference

The previous eleven symposia for “Automation in Transportation” held in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 initiated many issues, concerning further implementation of automation in transport processes as well as those regarding the relationship between automation and the environment, or, more precisely, the adequacy of automation to the capacities and limitations of human beings – the users of automation.

For this year’s symposium, our desire is to display the achievements and endeavours in the field of automation in road transport, railway transport, sea transport, air transport and postal transport, with a particular emphasis on the effects that the means of automation – either actually applied or projected – have on the human environment.

So that our knowledge, and the level of development achieved in the application of automation in transportation may be more objectively evaluated, it is our intention that this year’s symposium becomes international. Our intention is that experts present topics related to the application of automation in transportation in neighbouring countries.
